Brisbane Based Transfer of Audio Cassette - Micro & Mini Cassettes & Sony Mini Disc to Audio CD or MP3 format
How do we capture your audio cassettes? Your cassette tapes are recorded into our computer workstation with a specialised low noise sound card, the audio is checked and trimmed where required and converted to a CD or MP3 digital audio file. Where there are obvious breaks between songs you have the option to have track breaks inserted. This means that if you request an audio CD it will have tracks just like on a store bought CD. If you chose the MP3 format each break will create a new MP3 file. Your MP3 files are encoded at the very high quality settings. Audio CD’s can only hold a maximum of 80 minutes of sound which can create problems as a lot cassettes were 90+ minutes long. If you have a a tape that plays for longer than 80 mins you have the following options. Not include the sound/music after the 80 minute mark (no charge). Split the cassette onto 2 CD’s* Edit the content down to 80 minutes where possible* *The cost vary depending on your needs, please ring Tony for a friendly quote.
Standard Audio Cassette 101mm x 76 mm
Micro Cassette 51mm x 38mm
Mini Cassette 57mm x 38mm
Typical dictation recorder used by micro & mini Cassettes
There are three audio cassette tapes we transfer. The standard audio cassette.   This was the format developed by “Philips” a company that went on to develop the audio CD but is now sadly fading. The audio cassette was the portable version of the vinyl record but as it was never as good as the vinyl record and as such it never took over it just added to our choices. It was played by the likes of the trusty Sanyo portable cassette player with those big square piano type buttons in many a teenager’s bedroom and in endless cars on the most popular brand of my teenage days the “Pioneer” car stereo.
